Act A1738: Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication (Amendment) Act 2024 will come into operation on 1 January 2026. This is an act to amend the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012.
The Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication (Amendment) Act 2024 amends the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (Act 746) to reflect the change of name from the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration to the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), and to bring the Act into conformity with the Supplementary Agreement between the Government of Malaysia and AALCO executed on 20 February 2024. Accompanying the Amendment Act would be the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication (Amendment) Regulation 2025 which was gazetted on 13th October 2025 and will come into operation on 1st January 2026 as well.
