Our nine-month Pupillage Programme is designed to equip aspiring lawyers with the practical skills, professional judgment and legal acumen required for admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
Pupils will undergo structured training under the guidance of experienced practitioners, gaining hands-on exposure to real matters across multiple practice areas. Through a combination of mentoring, work assignments, and professional development activities, pupils will develop strong drafting, research, advocacy and client management skills. The programme is structured to provide both breadth and depth of experience, allowing pupils to understand different areas of legal practice while building competence in their chosen field.
Pupils may also be given the opportunity to undertake a rotation across up to three practice areas during the nine-month period, subject to applicable conditions and operational requirements. This enables broader exposure to the firm’s work while allowing pupils to develop a clearer sense of their areas of interest and aptitude.
During pupillage, pupils will assist on matters, observe court proceedings, attend client meetings and participate in firm training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
We seek motivated, intellectually curious and ethically grounded candidates who are committed to excellence in legal practice and eager to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative firm culture.
